A living light Mystic, author, abbess, artist and composer, Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179) was the topic of a symposium this fall sponsored by the Center for Norbertine Studies at St. Norbert College. Hear Ed Risden (English) speak on “Hildegard as Intellectual: The Spiritual and Creative Muse.” Risden’s fascination for Bingen and her works found fruit in a play of his that was performed at the college a few years ago and has since been published in novel form under the title “A Living Light.” (2009) The audio is 10 minutes long.
